a preview
this is the v0 preview: how selv works while it is being tested, in plain words. it is not legal advice, and it has not yet been reviewed as final.
your account
you need an account to buy, save or sell. sign up with your email and a password, or with Google; selv emails you to confirm your address. selling needs an invitation and selv’s approval, and your shopping account stays yours.
buying and paying
each label in your bag becomes its own order, with its own total, delivery charge and payment. you pay the label directly: scan the QR on your order in your payment app, then upload a photo or screenshot of the payment as proof. the label checks that the money arrived before confirming. selv never holds or moves your money.
holds and deadlines
placing an order holds its pieces for you. upload your payment proof within 60 minutes of ordering, or the order expires and the pieces go back on sale. once your first proof is in, the label has 24 hours from it to confirm; a replacement proof does not extend that time. if the label has not confirmed by then, the hold ends and selv reviews the order.
cancelling
you can cancel an order yourself until 12 hours after you placed it, and labels only dispatch after those 12 hours. a label or selv can also cancel an order before it ships, and you are told when that happens. if your payment had already been confirmed, the refund is tracked on your order until it is confirmed as received.
delivery
each label sets a delivery charge for inside and outside the Ring Road. you choose one at checkout, and it is charged once per order. there is no live tracking: your order shows when it is being prepared, dispatched and delivered.
returns
any piece can go back within 7 days of delivery, whether it doesn’t suit you or the label got it wrong. no piece is final sale, and there is no restocking fee. each label writes its own return instructions, and how it takes a piece back is shown on the piece and at checkout before you buy. ask from your order: once the label accepts, the order shows where and how to send it. if you post it back and the label pays the postage, or the fault is the label’s, the label repays what you paid, up to NPR 500.
refunds after a return
send a piece back unworn and unwashed, with its tags on. your refund follows once the label has received and inspected it, and your order shows it as due until you confirm the money arrived. if a label turns your return down, you can ask selv to decide within 48 hours.
reports and blocking
describe what you sell accurately and write respectfully. you can report a piece, a profile, a fit, a review or a message; a person at selv reads every report and may hide content, suspend a piece or restrict an account. if selv hides something you posted, you are told, but not who reported it. whoever reported it is told the outcome, never who you are. blocking someone stops new follows and new questions between you, but an order you share, and anything owed on it, stays open.
when orders are paused
selv can pause new orders for one label, or for all of selv, while it sorts something out. the label and its pieces stay visible, marked as not taking orders right now, and a pause across selv says why on every page. everything already ordered carries on: payment, dispatch, delivery, returns and refunds.
contacting selv
you can write to selv from support about anything, including an order, your account, or a decision selv made, even while your account is restricted or closing. when selv answers, you are told in selv and by email.
closing your account
you can close your account from account details, and change your mind until selv starts deleting it. before it does, every order, return, refund and case still open is finished, and any commission your label owes is settled. the privacy preview says what deleting removes and what selv keeps.
labels
labels sell by invitation, after selv approves their application, and selv checks a label’s payment details before buyers are shown them. a label owes selv a 10% commission on the pieces it sells, once their payment is approved.
